|Join our networking group of aspiring entrepreneurs and successful business owners.If you have an idea for a start-up or a small business, you are welcome to attend the meetings. Lori Allen, Program Manager at the Center for Women and Enterprise, will tell us about the resources available at CWE. Two Shrewsbury-based entrepreneurs will also share tips and advice.
In partnership with Krosslink.org, the Shrewsbury Library will be holding monthly meetings where budding entrepreneurs can share their ideas, gain insights from experts and brainstorm with other participants.

Details: The next meeting of the Entrepreneur Group at the Shrewsbury Public Library will be held on Thursday, December 11th, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. There will be an opportunity to network at the beginning of the meeting and then two entrepreneurs will be making short pitch sessions to explain their ideas for their businesses , discuss and share their success stories and their challenges. All budding and current entrepreneurs are invited to attend.

Shrewsbury Public Library is breaking new ground with plans to open the first ever FREE in-library start-up incubator, aimed at supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs as they jump-start their companies. In partnership with Krosslink.org, a volunteer driven organization created and supported by a group of entrepreneurs and business leaders who have successfully launched and built companies of their own, Shrewsbury Public Library will lead the charge in Krosslink’s mission to enlist 10,000 public libraries across the country to become partners in the incubator program by 2025.
The partnership will provide a “start-up shell” for local resident entrepreneurs to hatch their ideas, hold meetings and network with other entrepreneurs – with no strings attached. The library will be launching the program with an introductory session where successful entrepreneurs will share their stories about how they started their companies.
A drop-in program. All budding entrepreneurs are welcome.

|The Westborough Public Library, in collaboration with the Shrewsbury Public Library and Krosslink invite you to attend an informational session on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Westborough Library and/or Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Shrewsbury Library, to explore the Free in-library start-up incubator project that the libraries are participating in which is aimed at supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs as they jump start their companies.Krosslink.org, a non-profit foundation created and supported by a group of entrepreneurs and business leaders who have successfully launched and built companies of their own, is enlisting public libraries to become partners in the incubator for entrepreneurs program. The library would help nurture and foster local entrepreneurship by serving as a hub where budding entrepreneurs could gather to discuss ideas, network, and work on their own projects.At this introductory session, several successful entrepreneurs will share their stories about how they started their companies, a representative from Krosslink will talk about their vision for collaboration between public libraries and entrepreneurs, and the library will enlist input from attendees as to how the library can foster that collaboration.Refreshments will be served at this introductory session.
